Getting a New Companion!

Well this week was a sad one. California put back most of the COVID restrictions, which was tough because we were going to the chapel every day and doing our work there. Our mission president said we can't do that anymore so we're back at it in the apartments. It's alright, it's not too bad.

It was Elder Tennis' last week here in the mission. We've only been together a few weeks now but we got along so well. We're going to drop him off at the mission office today and I'm going to pick up my new companion.

It's going to be fun. He's going to be a brand new missionary. I think his name is Elder Owens. I'm looking forward to it. I'm excited to continue doing the Lord's work with a new companion!

This week we did a lot of Come Follow Me lessons with members. We're doing our best trying to get to know the member in our area. We met with some awesome families and I loved it even though it was over Zoom.

Very excited for a lesson we have tonight with Jann and his wife (the Filipino couple that just moved in). We had a call with Jann and some of the things he was saying to us and the questions he had was music to missionaries' ears! We're gonna meet with them later tonight!

One of the highlights of the week was a baptism for the other Elders in our apartment. Elder Tennis actually found this lady when he was here about a year ago! She's gone through a lot of ups and downs but made the decision to finally get baptized.

They showed me that the Lord's timing is the only timing. They had the baptism at their Bishop's pool, which was different. They were speaking Farsi the whole time so I couldn't understand a thing but it was a cool experience to see. I definitely could feel the Spirit the whole time.

Hope everyone has a great week!
