A Common Question

Well it was good working again this week. It was a solid week! We found a ton of new people.

I had a lot of good personal studies focusing on my purpose here and why it's so important to be exactly obedient.

We extended a baptism date to this little girl named Mary Desabayla. She's almost 10. All of her family are members of the church but she hasn't been baptized yet. She has a baptismal date now!

One of new people we found to teach was this Tatay (father) named Digol. He recently had to amputate one of his legs a couple months ago. We found Tatay Digol through the old Branch President in our ward who is friends with him.

Tatay Digol is awesome. He is always home because of his leg still trying to recover. When we first went there he was very welcoming to us. I feel like all Filipinos know how to speak 9 billion different dialects here. Tatay Digol knows how to speak so many!

When we started to talk to him we told him that his friend Tatay Miaco (the old Branch President) told us to come to him. I'll just paraphrase what he said...he said something like "dang yaa that's my boi" but obviously it was different in Tagalog haha.

He said something that was really interesting to me. He said, "I'm 65 years old now and I'm still confused which church is true." With it being almost 200 years since our Savior Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father appeared to Joseph Smith I thought this statement was right on point.

It's such a common question still. People are confused which church on earth is true. We taught Tatay about Joseph Smith. It's crazy to think that's it's been almost 200 years since the first vision. Makes me so excited for this upcoming General Conference yaaaaa wohooo!

Love you all! Hope everyone has a good week!
